January 9, 2011. Following Bob Vaiden's drections I visited Weaver Park this morning - air temperature ~ 11 F, no wind. I was lucky that a pair of Flickers came to the pond for an early morning drink.
It was exciting to see them fly close by.

The following day the two flickers were there again for a sip. This time they poked a hole in the ice
Today, January 16th, drove to dock #14 on the mighty Mississippi. The forcast was for partly cloudy. It was solid cloudy thow and the light was not the best. Still some shots are okay. Would have been great to have the some sun
There is in fact a small fish on the right claw.

Took a ride south of Urbana this afternoon (February 2, 2011) at around 4 pm. It was quite pretty, all white. There was a mixed flock of snow buntings, longspurs and horned larks at Race and Old Church road.
